Gough, William

William / Walter Gough
active, 1822
Chancery Lane, London

Despite his prominent address in London a the Hole-in-the-wall, a tavern on Chancery Lane, nothing substantial is known about William Gough. The exception is his affidavit in defence of Samuel Askey who was a suspect in the murder of Mrs Donnatty in 1822, reported in Bell's Weekly Messenger, 22 March 1822, from which we discover that he worked with Askey. No work is known.
